The Annie E. Casey Foundation's KIDS COUNT initiative wanted an inviting yet serious research publication focusing on making reading by the end of third grade a national priority. "Learning to Read, Reading to Learn" melds bright colors with photography of children learning and reading, ample white space, clearly defined sections, and easy-to-navigate data. Building on two decades of work with the KIDS COUNT program, KINETIK developed a unique solution for the special report that boldly makes a statement about the foundation's current priorities. The result proves that data and policy recommendations can indeed be beautifully presented.
